Crosstab Analysis

While Sage Estimating offers powerful custom sorting capability, both within the application spreadsheet and most of the stock reports, two-level sorting is typically rendered as a linear primary/secondary heading format.

On occasion, reporting needs require the use of dual sort selections in a matrix format, referred to as a crosstab, with the primary sort as column headings and the secondary selection as the row headings.  This export template was developed to render the active estimate content in a concise crosstab format (including the totals page addons as well) for complete visibility of the relevant costs before submitting your project.

Export Workflow

Available sort criteria are as follows:

  • Group Phase
  • Phase
  • Location
  • WBS Codes (1 thru 40)

This template is available in either a summary only format or with the option to toggle the item detail backup on/off as needed.

Sample output from the export template can be found at the links in the tables below.  All export samples are unaltered and generated directly from the Sage Estimating sample project described here.
